  Roman Pokorny was born on April 2nd, in Moravsky Krumlov. He spent his childhood in small village Horni Dunajovice. He was very interested in music since the age of 3 and by 6 he was playing already in the family band during various events. At first he took drums and base guitar lessons, later he chose guitar as his main instrument.

  V roce se intenzivně zabývá vlastní tvorbou a zakládá Roman Pokorný Quartet. S Jardou Hniličkou také zakládá Trio komorního jazzu. ČJS je opět nominován na objev roku a kapela roku. V roce natáčí CD Magic Holidays a s Tutu CD Sun Dance, na kterém se autorsky výrazně podílí.

  Tam visel plakát Roman Pokorný Quartet. Já jsem se tomu divil, ale Marek mi řekl: „Jsou to tvoje věci, tak budeš kapelník.“ To jsem nechtěl, protože kapelník se musí o všechno starat. Za týden mi Honza opravdu zavolal, že by cédéčko rád vydal. Tak vzniklo album Magic Holidays. Roman Pokorný - .
